Miraculous Magical Moments workshops are scheduled for 1 to 1 1/2 hours and begin with a similar introduction that includes: recalling positive childhood memories shared with a treasured adult, philosophy on the importance of fun daily interaction with children, emphasizing that it does not take a lot of time or money to make a positive difference in the life of a child, engagement in a 1 minute challenge, and tips to remember when interacting with children. This introduction is approximately 20 minutes long. Personalize the remainder of the time with one of the options below.
Choose Your Workshop:
Show and Tell (for childcare providers only)
Investigate five tubs filled with common items around the house, or things you might throw away, that can be used for activities with children. Finished activities are included. The items are presented in rapid fire demonstration with dozens of ideas for children’s activities. Viewing, questions and “playing” follow the presentation.
Creativity Jumpstart (for childcare providers only)
Stretch your creativity in the “empty cake box challenge.” Interact and share ideas with other participants using common household items and recycled materials. Stroll through, and play with, dozens of Miraculous Moment activities and leave with enough new ideas to last for a long time. The word “bored” will never be heard from your children again!
Creation Station (for children and childcare providers)
This workshop provides tables of raw materials, such as cardboard tubes, ribbon, construction and tissue paper, foil, tape, glue, markers, etc. Tables with different themes can be designed to meet your wishes. Families interact, explore and create making as many or as little as they want. The main focus of this workshop is creativity.
Parenting Fair (for children and childcare providers)
This workshop can start the same as Show and Tell and Creativity Jumpstart. During the first 20 minutes children are in another area participating in an activity and/or snack. After the introduction, children are reunited with their caregivers and encouraged to interact in a variety of stations of Miraculous Moments activities. Activities include make and take items, creativity, investigation and exploration. Or, the entire time can be filled with children and caregivers rotating between activity stations. Up to 45 stations are available to choose from. Also, new stations can be added or substituted by brainstorming between the sponsor and presenter/author. If interested in this option, a list of stations can be provided.
Charge workshop participants a nominal fee and they all receive a Miraculous Moment resource book filled with ideas to create many interactive hours of family fun. Fee determined by sponsor and author agreement.

MOPS -Mothers of Preschoolers
Keeping Christ in Christmas was the theme for two different MOPS groups on December 10, 2019. After reading the Christmas story from Matthew 2 and Luke 2, accompanied with background music, MOPS moms watched a rapid fire presentation of family activities to share with children to help them remember the reason for the Christmas season is the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This was followed with a make-and-take session filled with fun and laughter. As Popsicle stick and Christmas card puzzles were created, along with Christmas symbols flash card sets, moms enjoyed an evening of fellowship. Amazing door prizes from Hidden Splendor got the excitement going. The evening ended with a table of free craft supplies for moms to take home, along with a booklet filled with ideas from the evening for families to use throughout the season as well as to keep with their Christmas decorations as a reminder from year to year. Lots of smiles and full arms left the event!
